Dr Peter McCarron is the Clinical Director and Practice owner at East Belfast Dental Clinic. Peter is responsible for the practice's clinical standards and makes sure that all patients receive appropriate and timely treatment.
Peter qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 1993. Since graduating, Peter’s passion for furthering his knowledge has lead him to study with many world-renowned dentists including: Professor Mike Wise (a restorative specialist), Professor Keiser (a gums specialist), Dr Gurel (a veneer specialist) and Dr Webber (a root canal specialist).
In the 1990’s Peter was one of the early adopters of placing dental implants and subsequently he completed his Certificate in Dental Implantology in 2003. Since then, he has been mentored by: Brady Franks (US), Dr Palo Malo (Portugal) and in the last year after working with Dr Shatkin (New York) Peter has been placing the new mini-implants.
When he’s not being a dentist, Peter is happily married to Gemma and together, they have two teenage children who keep them busy. Peter’s passions include: cutting edge dentistry, cycling and climbing in the Mourne Mountains.
